At Atlantic Reef we are organized to help companies create a tech talent pipeline with amazing LATAM Talent by:

  • Focusing on South America, specially on our home country Colombia, where the talent potential is unlimited and the opportunities for the local economic development tremendous.

Company roles on the talent pipeline

Cognitus is our non-profit effort. We are working with last year high school students and with students that just graduated to help them get into the technology industry, we work on underperformed communities, and we focus on inspiring new talent, we show them that the world is full of possibilities, and thus we are able to add “new talent” to the workforce, young people that otherwise would be looking for something else to do, on a continent that doesn’t have a lot of opportunities, we help them discover that they are talented and able help solve the world problems.  Some of this talent works with us and starts a 3 to 5-year cycle where they can have a direct relationship with an American company, but others end up on other local companies, where they also contribute to the local economy and to other companies needs, and therefore is essential for us that is process is a non-profit effort, so that we can help add new talent to reduce the local and global tech gab. 

Shark Helpers is working on non software development talent, but bilingual talent that can help companies achieve their goals, such as marketing people, or virtual agents that help Amazon Agencies with their clients sales and products. Shark Helpers strength comes from working together with the companies to not only find people with the potential, but to create in conjunction an academy that teaches the unique knowledge and skills that each company needs since it’s very hard to find talent with the specific skill sets, but otherwise Shark Helpers knows how to find and develop people that has the potential to learn, perform and to improve. In Atlantic Reef, Shark Helpers becomes the talent partner to have a steady talent pipeline of non software developers.

AtlanticSoft has been successful for the last 12 years on helping companies grow while creating mixed software development teams, most of the time when someone left there was someone ready to take over, and a lot of the talent that has left has also come back because AtlanticSoft has always provided a way to grow.  AtlanticSoft is helping companies that are non-tech savvy have their own independent software development department or an independent agile team, with a strong pipeline of talent and cost-effective mixed teams.  AtlanticSoft creates dedicated teams for the long term success, CIO, CTO,  Senior Devs, Semi Seniors, Juniors, Interns, Aspirant devs, Product Owners, Project Managers and Virtual Assistants.  The dedicated team integrates with the company to help them with their technological challenges, while AtlanticSoft puts the best possible mixed team together and works on constantly improving the technical, soft and English skills.  After some years the aspirant developers and Interns advanced enough to become the current seniors and leaders while they help new talent start their careers and advance. 

BetterWay.Dev is comes to life from the realization that the current way that tech-savvy companies are doing staff augmentation is not maintainable , and is only increasing rotation. We strongly believe that talent should get the best possible economic deal, and that means that most of the company payment should go to salary, it should go to make people’s life better, and that there is a carreer point where the talent is ready to have a direct relationship with a company as an individual contributor. BetterWay is finding devs that are on this stage to help them work directly with North American companies,  BetterWay is improving the current  process inefficiencies by acting as an advanced employee of record, where we help both companies and developers be legally compliant , where we help them have healthy and prosperous relationships while we provide local support for developers to work remotely but with all local and remote benefits.  We also want to help the the talent that started with us,  reach this maturity level and even better if we can do it with the companies that they have helped through their AtlanticSoft ternure. 

And finally, and not least, SpeedupTech wants to help Tech-Savvy companies be able to have their own talent pipeline with their own processes and needs.  Speeduptech works with the acquired knowledge and experience  of our other business lines but also partners with other companies to help them start their talent pipeline from South America, even from our Cognitus graduates or from other entry level talent that is looking for the opportunity of real work experience. Speeduptech goal is to work with entry level talent to help them through real projects get the experience that the company requires, to help them grow and mature with the company up to a point where they are ready to be hired either directly or even better through our BetterWay business model.  There is a lot of talent in the ocean that we don’t see because we aren’t starting early enough and because we are focused on finding the right color stripes and not the potential to paint new stripes.  

A reef is built over time, and life starts to flourish as the right conditions happen, it’s our job to put together those conditions.
